This Japanese restaurant is the very best in Oceanside when it comes to casual comfort food. I particularly like their special combo with teriyaki chicken, fried noodles, gyoza, and shrimp tempura. All that for like $12 or so . Their udon and yakisoba are also great!

After meeting the owners and finding out what a lovely family they were, we decided to give their restaurant a try. I moved here from Eugene, Oregon and have not been able to find a place that resembles a restaurant that I deeply miss. I’ve gone to multiple places but the flavors weren’t quite right. Their Teriyaki chicken was really good and great flavor. I got the dinner plate that was huge! I was not expecting such an impressive sized plate, could have definitely shared this with my husband. It’s also very difficult to find a place where all of us can agree on and my kids loved their sushi, this is definitely a place we will come to more often. I also really enjoyed the simple atmosphere, I want to be at a place because the food is great, the owners are polite and very family oriented and genuinely take the time and effort to create delicious meals.

Price is very reasonable, the menu had a nice combo of Japanese dishes and Sushi. Definitely hit the spot for me!
Great food that tasted authentic and fresh. Food came out quickly. The portions are really good. Customer service was outstanding; all the staff were friendly and polite. The restaurant was clean. The only downside is that they do not have a lot of vegetarian options for some folks. There are options for vegetarians, but not as much as other sushi places.
Clean delicious food that isn’t over salted like many other asian food places. Wonderful staff who are kind, friendly and respectful. They tried hard to make the atmosphere peaceful but let’s face it, it’s in a strip mall. If this place was on North Pacific it would have a better view and the $9 lunch special would be $26. Thus, this is s value. Highly recommend.
It was great and my friend who has allergies told the staff and the staff showed on the menu where the food was easier to prepare for his food allergies, the place was so clean and the staff was so nice. Definitely a great place to eat. The parking lot is definitely always packed but it makes sense given there’s a Walmart in the same shopping center. I still give them 5 stars and their recommendations are spot on! Great service!

We’ve gone about 3 times now and every time, it’s always a hit! The calamari tempura is made fresh to order, so be prepared for the freshest calamari you’ve probably ever had! The staff is always kind, quick to help && offer their recommendations to new items. We purposely eat in the restaurant because of the vibe, the warm feeling, and enjoying great food. Don’t skip on the Tempura and Karage! Can’t wait to go back…most likely next week again ☺️
